Getting The Most Out Of The Bible: Fulfilled In Christ.
May 13, 2025
Session 2.
Welcome to our second 'Getting the most out of the Bible' classroom experience!
The Bible is more than just a book—it’s God’s guide for life, offering wisdom, encouragement, and direction for every season we face. Through His Word, God speaks to us, shaping our hearts, renewing our minds, and guiding our steps. But let’s be honest: reading the Bible can sometimes feel overwhelming. Where do we begin? How do we truly understand what it’s saying? How can we dive deeper to uncover its treasures and apply them to our everyday lives?
My hope is that this study begins to equip us with practical tools to help you:
Read the Bible with clarity and confidence.
Discover its relevance and power for today’s challenges.
Apply its timeless truths to your personal journey.
This second session is entitled 'Fulfilled in Christ' where we will study together Old Testament prophecies of Jesus and how they are fulfilled in the New Testament. We will also ask, ponder, and discuss some big applicational questions such as:
What are the chances that one man could fulfil dozens of ancient prophecieswritten hundreds of years before he was born?
If God went to such lengths to point to Jesus through prophecy, what doesthat say about His character and His plan for humanity?
Why did God choose to reveal the Messiah through prophecy instead of justunveiling Him all at once?
How does fulfilled prophecy impact our confidence in the reliability andauthority of the Bible today?
What difference does it make to our faith that Jesus is the fulfillment—not justof prophecy, but of God's promises?
Could it be that understanding prophecy helps us see Jesus not just as ahistorical figure, but as the centre of God’s eternal plan?
How might understanding Old Testament prophecy transform the way we readScripture, worship, and live as disciples of Christ?
If the Bible’s prophecies about Jesus came true, what does that mean for therest of God’s promises for our lives and for the world?
How do we avoid reading prophecy like a puzzle, and instead read it in a waythat leads to personal transformation?
What would it look like if we lived every day with the awareness that Jesusreally is the One foretold from the beginning?
